RIP? what does it mean?
Knowing that you lost your Mom recently...I read this image as a sad memory of whom she was and never will not be any more...
1 Feb 2010 6:51pm
@KriKridesign: RIP means "rest in peace" ... and you are right -- it is a statement about my mother ... that she is resting in peace after several years of declining health. This dried, wilted rose [and two others in the vase not in the photo] are from some flowers a friend sent to my home a week or so after mom's death. I plucked these out of the arrangement and have them in a blue vase sitting on a shelf above my bed. They [the dried roses] provide some comfort to me when I see them ... I know that she is resting in the embrace of God without pain and she is whole again. Thanks very much Christine ... ron
This is a really powerful image, Ron - beautiful in mono. Very different and worth the 5 stars just allocated.

What a wonderful image, the flower looks like a fairy leaning back with her frock and legs in the air, beautiful

Great title, simplistic image, really like the flowered wall in the background too, softness against a crystal clear forefront. Well done.
