I was delighted with the clarity, considering I'm shooting with a 400mm lens ... ron @Joanne: Thanks for your visit, Joanne. I visited your site and see that you're new to St. Louis ... welcome! I spotted this fella yesterday morning in Forest Park ... one of the little streams that wind through the park. Sometimes I'm amazed by the diverse wildlife I see right smack dab in the middle of an urban oasis. Forest Park and the Missouri Botanical Garden are two of my favorite spots to photograph ... ron zOOm from Paris, FranceAnd time for lunch. Great framing indeed. Perfect. There's a great light here. 15 Jul 2009 1:19pm @zOOm: Thanks, Florence ... the light was perfect yesterday morning ... then it got cloudy and threatened to rain the rest of the day ... ron Chris from South Jersey, United Stateswhat a shot - love the moment and the colors are fantastic...... 15 Jul 2009 4:47pm @Chris: Thanks, Chris ... appreciate it ... ron Marcie from Newton, United StatesStunning! The composition is just beautiful! I love the contrast of the white of the bird against the deep green! Just awesome!! 15 Jul 2009 9:50pm @Jen: Thanks so much, Jen ... ron Tracey from Maryland, United StatesSuch clarity and the light is beautiful! I don't know why I haven't noticed before that you use the 5D Mark II. How do you like it? 16 Jul 2009 12:28pm @Tracey: Thanks, Tracey ... I got the Mark II in early April ... love it, love it, love it! Incredible, deep rich color on that full-frame sensor and the 21 megapixels allows for deep cropping into a scene. I'm having a little fun with the video, as well -- doing a two-minute "behind the scenes" video for Union Avenue Opera ... the company I do volunteer work for here in St. Louis. Mary from PA, United StatesWow!! One would never know this was in the middle of a big city. Must be a really nice park. Wonderful capture, so well composed. 20 Jul 2009 11:48am Lijo from Dubai, United Arab EmiratesAn excellent photo in many ways.
