Autumn Arch ...

This is another of my special places, here, in my hometown. I'm inspired by the architectural ingenuity and design aesthetic of this timeless monument. It rises up 630 feet (192 meters) above the Mississippi River and is surrounded by a maturing forest of trees and reflecting pools. The construction was completed in 1968, while I was an elementary school student. It has always intrigued me and inspired me. I visit, here, often.
