The sun seems to take forever to rise up above the mountains ... it gave me plenty of time to play.

The straight, red, horizontal bands of color against the irregular contour of the mountains is superb. And the reds are all tied together in a nice monochromatic color scheme. Rather than try to exclude the tail lights from the photo, you have tied the landscape to the traffic very nicely. Well done!
