Rio Grande Gorge Bridge

Just northwest of Taos, New Mexico, on U.S. 64 is the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge. The valley flatlands, tinted blue-green with stubbly sage and chamisa, suddenly yawn into a black gash 650-feet deep, cut into the earth by millions of years of water flow through this high desert arroyo. The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is the second-highest bridge in the U.S. highway system ... it's an awesome sight.
