Best buds ...

These two kittens have taken up residence on my deck. They were part of a litter of five - the only two that resembled each other - that is now just two. The mother had weened this litter and was, unfortunately, pregnant again. We've taken her to the Humane Society of Missouri, but these two kittens just won't allow us to get close enough to scoop them up so they can be adopted by a good home. They will play for hours on end and then lie in a terra cotta pot soaking in the warmth of the sun.

The one on the left is tiger-striped, and the one on the right is a calico.

That's basically how we got our cat, well actually the person who rescued her and who we adopted her from. If you take them early enough but not too early they make wonderful loving pets. Mine is the best cat I have ever owned, and I've had quite a few. Of course we spoil her to no end and she definitely knows who is boss and so do we!

They are real beauties these two!
