Colors of Santa Fe iPosted by Ron (Saint Louis, United States) on 1 October 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Back from vacation with a new appreciation for the colors and light that surround us. This series was shot in Santa Fe, New Mexico – the oldest capital city in the United States (settled in 1610). Santa Fe is home to a diverse mix of cultures, including Native-, Hispanic-, and Anglo-Americans. It sits nestled among the Sangre de Cristo mountains at about 7000 feet (2134 meters) above sea level. Everywhere you turn in Santa Fe you notice a beautiful, rich color palette. Image too large?
