This looks like an experiment with the retro-macro technique. As you provide Exif-data with it I suppose it isn't such an experiment, is it?

@Mirko Herzner: This is a photo of a canna flower using my Canon 70 – 200 mm with a Canon 500 D close-up lens attached (just like a filter) ... it's sort of a "poor man's" macro ... I'm not certain if that's the retro-macro technique.

@Tracey: It is a flower ... a canna. When the flowers first appear they look like this ... mostly yellow with red spots ... as the flower ages (over the course of a few days) it gradually turns completely red.

Hej Ron. It's something quite similar to the retro-macro technique then. The poor man's tag fits both of them: For a retro-amcro you simply use any lens (wide-angle for stronger effects) and hold it in front of your camera turned around. Then you need to focus by moving the camera back and forth. Needs some practice but is great fun...
