Mirko Herzner from Mühlheim am Main, GermanyWow. What a great shot. The softness of the water gives it a very special touch. Maybe I would have cropped a little bit more to get the small rock in the upper right corner just out of the picture. The upper pool would have a more limitless touch then... 18 Jul 2008 6:42am @Mirko Herzner: Excellent suggestion, Mirko ... cropping away a slice along the right edge certainly won't detract from the composition. Marion from Nanaimo, BC, Canada3 seconds exposure just enough to make the water look like silk. Well done Ron. Beautiful image. 18 Jul 2008 6:52am Wysterior from Kloten, SwitzerlandGREAT ... Are you using a grey filter for these kind of photos (3 seconds exposure)? 18 Jul 2008 7:27am dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Statesbeautiful! love the soft white tones... gorgeous greens and browns too! 18 Jul 2008 7:35am Kylie Greenan from Richmond, AustraliaStunning! It caught my eye as I have an image very similar coming up in a few days, you have done an excellent job with the composition and time exposure, well done! 18 Jul 2008 7:44am Paul van der Meer from Valkenswaard, NetherlandsRon, this is real magic!! Like it very much! 18 Jul 2008 8:02am leslie from norwich, United KingdomExposure spot on to get the silky tones. Well done 18 Jul 2008 8:34am Cheryl from Texas, United Statesvery magical indeed. nice job with the water and composition. 18 Jul 2008 10:12am Marcie from United StatesLovely. The soft tones of the water running over the rocks are cooling to the eye on this hot summer day. Nicely seen and captured! 18 Jul 2008 11:51am Jonathan Alan Photography from St. Louis, United Statesgreat soft flowing river, great colors 18 Jul 2008 12:07pm zOOm from Paris, FranceThat's clever Ron ! Because of the selective blur it's not easy to tell if this waterfall is huge or small... + lack of scale makes it uncertain ! Stunning colours as well ! 18 Jul 2008 2:12pm Rui Silva from Leiria, PortugalThe green contrasting with the effect of the water are stunning! 18 Jul 2008 2:24pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesWOW - wonderful shot. The composition is perfect, and I love the long exposure time and the look of the water - did you use an ND filter? 18 Jul 2008 3:13pm @Chris: No ND filter ... just my standard B&W UV and haze filter for lens protection. Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaI love the greens, especially that green that the water has taken on. And that moss. Gorgeous. 18 Jul 2008 5:34pm Melissa W. from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesVery cool...I've always wanted to try a shot like this. Good to know you didn't use a ND filter...always thought you had to have one. Great job! 18 Jul 2008 9:14pm Observing from West Cheshire, United KingdomVery well done Ron, the result is excellent. Who knows where the passageway leads..... 18 Jul 2008 9:20pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesgreat capture! beautiful light and love how you captured the water with the long exposure. i disagree with Mirko, i don't think it would look good to crop the rock on the right out 18 Jul 2008 11:42pm Julie McLeod from Ottawa, CanadaFabulous, Ron! The lighting is so lovely in this scene and it provides such interesting contrast. A joy to look at! 19 Jul 2008 1:42am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaGorgeous, Ron. Really like the waters of life! 19 Jul 2008 2:28am GJC from Kyoto, JapanVery fine work. I agree that cropping out that rock in the upper right would be effective. The greens in the moss are wonderful. 19 Jul 2008 4:27am ashok from Indiaamazing and unbelieveable...I can feel the flow of water ....and the rocks and grass....adding stones to a jewel...a masterpiece... 22 Jul 2008 8:55am Pouhou from Apeldoorn, NetherlandsThe netherlands is to flat for waterfall "helas" 25 Jul 2008 12:05pm |
