The first iris of the season from my water garden ...
@Rhys: I shot this one and yesterday's in front of a piece of black foam-core poster board, sitting on a table in front of a north facing window.

Exquisite example of the iris. It's hard to choose which one I prefer. I think it's the purple one catching the light.

I used to have some of this smaller hybrid variety in a blue. Your lovely image made me a little homesick for them. I particularly like the yellow one. So nice and your photo is exceptional.
