Marion from Nanaimo, BC, CanadaAnother beautiful night shot Ron. Nice place to live. 23 Apr 2008 5:47am Rhys from Darlington, United Kingdomgreat shot, there is a real 'glowing' feel to almost every part of the shot. 23 Apr 2008 7:35am Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaWonderful shot. Lumen is a fortuitous name as the building appears almost luminous. 23 Apr 2008 7:46am Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaStunning presentation of this building, love the lighting.... 23 Apr 2008 8:03am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaThe city is so tranquil and beautiful at night. A great image! 23 Apr 2008 8:08am Melissa W. from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesI love how this building is lit...just beautiful. Great capture. I think I like this one better than the other one (and I really liked that one as well). Love how you captured the moody clouds/sky. Beautiful job. Definitely a fave. 23 Apr 2008 12:00pm GJC from Kyoto, JapanI'm so glad to see more of your night shots, which I think are just terrific. Here the overall blue tones really bring the photo into compositional coherence. I like the angle you've taken. Just as a suggestion: to add to the feel, what if you cropped out the buildings on the left side. That "opens" the photo on that side and gives the street even more command of the image, and also increases the feeling of the building's (Lumen) presence. Just a thought. 23 Apr 2008 12:29pm Observing from Chester, United KingdomRon, another great photo. The Blue light of the windows matches the night sky, giving the building a very powerful look. I like the low level framing also. 23 Apr 2008 1:37pm Monte Stevens from Fort Collins, United StatesI Like the image. Looks like a long exposure. Well done! 23 Apr 2008 2:50pm MaryB from Staffordshire, United KingdomA fabulous night shot Ron, the blue light is amazing. 23 Apr 2008 4:24pm Wysterior from Kloten, SwitzerlandThat's absolutely smashing! I LOVE your photos and this here is exactly what I love the most. Wide angle lens, early morning (or evening) shot, beautiful mix between day and artificial light, cold and warm tones and the photo that tells a story... Great Ron, really great! www.wysterior.com works well now, I'd like to invite you to to stop by and have a look ;) Wys 23 Apr 2008 5:47pm Pedro from Santander, SpainExquisite blue tones and a point of well chosen, really good shot 23 Apr 2008 6:22pm dobbino from Cape Town, South AfricaLove the tones and colour. The framing also is exceptional. For my personal taste, I would have like the main building corner to have been 100% perpendicular, but that's just me. 23 Apr 2008 6:47pm Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaMarvelous shot, the colours and lighting are really great. 23 Apr 2008 7:55pm Chris from South Jersey, United StatesGreat shot - the colors and lighting fantastic. What kind of exposure did you end up with - I noticed it didn't show up in the EXIF data. I like the road to the left - it draws you into the picture. 23 Apr 2008 11:14pm @Chris: Thanks Chris; it's actually one of my first attempts at HDR ... so its a combination of three exposures ... lissa from New York, United Statesmysterious blue lights in the window and behind the building makes this pic even more intriguing. 23 Apr 2008 11:49pm akarui from Kagoshima, JapanBeautiful. I like the color combination blue-orange in this picture. 24 Apr 2008 12:07am Disoriented from Washington, DC, United StatesThis is really stunning! The shades of blue and the orange lights are superb. 24 Apr 2008 4:41am Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomYes, gotta love those drapes of blue . . these are exceptional images in this series. 24 Apr 2008 6:28pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaI love how the windows are so luminous and that pov you've used. Excellent! 25 Apr 2008 12:09am Pouhou from Apeldoorn, NetherlandsI like the strong contrast 3 Jul 2008 12:38am |
