Wade in the waters ...Posted by Ron (Saint Louis, United States) on 22 April 2008 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio. This twice-life-size sculpture, which commemorates the centennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, sits below the Eades Bridge along the Mississippi River in St. Louis. The sculpture includes "Seaman," Lewis' large black Newfoundland dog. It is normally not submerged in river water, but with all our spring rains it has taken on new meaning. Image too large? Even though the images aren't supposed to be submerged it sure makes for a meaningful picture.
