Heliconius erato reductimaculata or more commonly known as the "Small Postman" and indigenous to Ecuador. Photographed in the Missouri Botanical Garden's Butterfly House.

Terrific and the clarity is amazing. I also like the dappled light on the leaves, too, which in some ways matches the patterns on the wings. Nice work.

Great photo - the colors and details wonderful. It looks similar (but not exact) to a butterfly I photographed in Niagara and posted here.
