This is cool! I love shooting after rainfall when the ground is still damp. It creates a certain glow from the lights and it shows here. I also noticed that it's the only three story building on the block and two of the lamplights are out.

Another great shot! What are you doing up at that time of the morning!? Changing the subject, I must be doing something wrong with my night/early morning photos - I just never get that sort of exposure with the settings you have used - so here we go, back to the drawing board!

@dobbino: Unfortunately (or fortunately - if you're an optimist) I don't sleep much ... I'm awake most mornings by about 3:30 a.m. Fortunately for me, I do love the peace and quiet of that time of day and I'm able to get my best work done then. Regarding the exposure: I did add some fill light to this exposure in Photoshop Camera Raw.

This is so beautiful it almost makes me want to get up that early and check out the predawn world. And I am glad you have latched onto a "Middle of the Road" theme. You do it so well!

I agree with everyone else, but as a loyal fan of your blog, let me also say that I think this is one of your best images. Really beautiful light and feeling, and the composition is excellent. Reminds me of a Hopper painting.

From the six photos on the series (i to vi) I prefer this one. Dark, as we feel the night. I can say the same about the Middle of the road vi, but this offers the contrast between the lifeless streets and the life going on inside the restaurant.
