Great detail in the statue Ron. I love it against the clear blue sky.

Strong heroic iron fast strong-willed - and all that in a beautifully exposed photo. Very well caught. Cya Wys

A great angle, the statue looks really powerful against the blue sky.

He appears to be leading us somewhere...

@Viewfinder: ...probably into war. He was known as the "Crusader King," and he and his horse are clad for battle here.
That blue sky makes for a great background.
In seeing this, I thought, has he done a picture of this from a different angle. I went back through your photos and did not see anything and then I remembered what it was I was thinking of. Tracey's post of Stonewall Jackson. The horse she photographed does not have the apparel of the one you have photographed, the rider is in different period clothing as well, and one is more of a pewter color, the other more of a brass, but one still reminded me of the other. Nice shot!

What a beautiful sky! And the perspective you chose to shoot the statue is perfect. It leaves me wanting to walk around and see the rest. Oh, and thanks for the link Bonj...even though you said my horse was less appealing! ;0)
