@Jrask: This is the first shot taken with my brand new Canon EF 70 – 200 mm f/2.8L IS USM lens. It's handheld; no flash. Thanks…rll
That is an amazing sculpture and captured so well, Ron. My eye is drawn to the figure with the raised finger. Perhaps Judas.

I agree, great detail and the color in the background makes this one pop. Great shot Ron.

Wonderful composition with the colour contrasts. If you've got time, try to turn the wooden characters into b&w with Photoshop or something equal and leave the background coloured (or vice versa) Greetings Wys

Bonjour,

@La Poétaniste: A beautiful photograph on this occasion opens the door to say: L'Amour, charity, Virtue, common sense Reinforce our hearts And strengthen our souls, And embrace Prompt our suffering, Like sheep Supports his sacrifice. Our feelings are running high, Our tenderness are great, We are listening Glad our hearts, And we go merrily The path of perdition, Falling without shame or disgust All our weaknesses. On the altar of the property, Love is transfiguring, Which marks deeply Consoled our hearts, And poor awareness Our intelligence Is permeated all By his humble figure. It's Love That frees desires We lock up, And the prayers faithful, We discover Great joys. Every word, We assemble a heart, With courage and patience To the Light that enlightens.
To say, the least, I am immensely flattered that this image is worthy of such beautifully poetic expression. To those who visit today, please check out the link to the poets blog…it's worth the visit! rll

Wonderful composition...great detail.
So you just got the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM? I just got the non IS version last week (used it to shoot the cars). It's a whole lot heavier than the 50mm that I'm used to carrying. ;) So far, I've been very pleased with the results.

So you have started the collectiojn of more lenses! I'm really looking forward to what you will be posting when you get your first macro lens. In the end, I'm sorry I'm disappointed I went for the 60mm instead of the 100mm macro - so if you are going to venture into this field, maybe I could give you a few pointers?
