I like the tree photos where a lone tree is in a field. They remind me of Ansel Adams shots even when in color.

Very moody shot with a strong feeling of loneliness. Beautiful colors too. I wish the tree wasn't quite so centered, but that is a personal preference. Nice capture!

Terrific shot with great impact. I agree with Tracey that I wonder what a different placement might feel like. Perhaps no better, but definitely different. What do you think?

@GJC: Actually, I did take an equal number of shots with the tree in the right and left corners of the shot. I decided I liked this one best because of the way it shows the subtle little ridge that runs diagonally (lower left to upper right) along in front of the tree. I just discovered this lonely tree…I expect I'll visit it often in the days to come. Thanks for the feedback!

To me with these kind of images it's all about the subject in the centre. Really excellent job with this one Ron. The colours are so sublime.
