Compton Hill Water Tower

The Compton Hill Water Tower at Grand and Russell Boulevards was opened for service in 1899. It is one of Saint Louis' three remaining watertowers.

Excellent and interesting. The structure is unique in it's design. The clouds are beautiful. I like the shadow on the building from the nearby trees. It is such a wonderful photo they may be able to use it in the historical society of your area. Very nice.

St. Louis is a big place, so it is not really surprising, but as many times as I have been to St. Louis I have never seen this or even seen photos of it. Great shot! Cool water tower.
