This little kitty appeared at our home about a month ago. Even on the single-digit nights she wouldn't come in the house; so we built her a little shelter. She would walk around the block with us as we walked Lucy – our 14-year-old beagle/corgi mix. A week or so after she appeared on the scene we found out that Lucy had inoperable liver cancer. When God closes a window…
This shot was an experiment to see what kind of noise I got from my new camera at 1600 ISO. I have to say that I'm pleased with the quality of the shot. And, yes, she has come into the house.
Le regard des félins est toujours princier je trouve, encore un qui me conforte dans mon idée !

What a unique colour eye she has! My friend's one was the most unique. 1 eye was blue and the other was green. This is a real nice shot :)

Yip, that is how it happens - she is there to give support - she came at the right time and she will leave when her job is done... touching...

What a story, very moving. I'm sorry about Lucy. It's interesting how people, as well as small furry friends, come into our lives for a reason. Thanks for sharing, Ron.

What an amazing story, she must be a spirit guardian for sure. Your shot looks impressive at 1600 ISO.

Ron: We had a similar story while burying our old cat after a long illness. A wondering kitten showed up just at our lowest moment. We knew then that it was for us. It took some work but now he is part of our family. So sorry about Lucy. Great photograph and story.
